This guide shows how to use the back cover adhesive kit for the Galaxy S series with glass backs (S7 and higher). It also includes instructions on how to transfer and install various back cover components, such as the camera bezel and fingerprint sensor.
You may not need to use all the adhesive strips included in the kit. If you are transferring the fingerprint sensor, you will need some double-sided tape such as Tesa tape.
When applying adhesive strips like these, follow thesehere are some general guidelinestips:
#* To make adhesive application easier, you can align the unexposed strips, [https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi/a6EfdSi3YTRDsMVw.large|then tape an edge down to hold the strip in place|new_window=true]. This will still allow you to peel away the plastic liners without losing alignment.
*
'''Peel away the clear plastic liner first'''. This layer usually peels easily. If there are multiple clear plastic layers, remove the clear layer that exposes adhesive.
#* '''The adhesive exposed adhesiveafter peeling the clear liner determines which surface the strip should be applied to first.''' Locate the surface that aligns with the exposed adhesive.
# Carefully align and apply the adhesive to that surface.
# Peel away any remaining clear liners as well as the colored liner. This will expose the other side of the adhesive strip.
