Match your gauge of wire to the gauge on a wire stripper.

Place the wire stripper about a 1/4” from the end of the wire and squeeze down.

While squeezing, pull the stripper toward the end of the wire. This should expose some of the wire by removing its insulation.

After your wire has been stripped, the exposed wire is ready to be soldered and reconnected to other parts of the microphone.
