This guide shows how to remove and replace a saddle on a bicycle. The steps include removing the current saddle, lubricating the bolts and rails, reinstalling the new saddle, and securing the saddle's connection to the frame.
The bike seat used in this guide is a Trek Fx2, a hybrid bike meant for fitness and commuting, although the instructions apply to many other bike saddles, whether they have two bolt or one bolt configurations. Locate the bolt under the saddle.

Use a 5mm Allen Wrench to loosen and remove the M8x30 mm bolt.

Remove the saddle from under the plate.

Use a towel covered in isopropyl rubbing alcohol to clean any dirt from the bolts and plate.

Apply Finish Line Premium Grease to the bolt.

Work the grease around the threads.

Clean the replacement bicycle saddle with a towel and isopropyl alcohol.

Apply Finish Line Premium Grease to the rails of the bicycle saddle.

Align the seat rails with the channels in the saddle plate.

Slide the rails into the channels of the saddle plate.

Adjust the seat position to your preference.

Insert the bolts into the holes on the saddle plate.
-
Tighten the bolts by hand until they are snug.

Use an Allen wrench to evenly tighten the bolts.

Sit on the seat to check its angle and stability.

Test out the bike seat, and adjust accordingly.
