If your hard drive has been damaged or simply want to upgrade storage space, it can be replaced with nothing other than a Phillips screwdriver. This replacement is quick and no electronic skills are necessary to succeed.

As a safety precaution, unplug the laptop and remove the battery.

Remove the two 3mm Phillips #0 screws on the bottom of the corner panel.

Use the cutaway to lift the panel away from the lap top.

Remove the single 3mm Phillips #0 screw securing the hard drive (hard drive not pictured).

Once the screw is removed, push the hard drive up (away from the battery) to disconnect it from the laptop.

You are now able to lift the hard drive out of the laptop.
