Unscrew 1 Phillips #0 7-mm screw on the back of the computer.

Lift the plate and gently pull it away from yourself, until it is removed.

Unscrew the 1 Phillips #0 7-mm screw, located on the right side where the silver tabs of the optical drive poke out.

The optical drive is partially visible and push it to the right.

The optical drive should pop out on the right side, and you can gently pull it out.
