Disconnect the spark plug to ensure that the lawn mower does not accidentally turn over and cause the mower to turn on.

Flip the mower onto its side exposing the blade and under carriage.

Place wood in between the blade and the wall of the mower to ensure that the blade does not move while you are tightening or loosening the bolt.

Using the 5/8 wrench, turn the blade counter clockwise until the bolt is loose then pull the blade off.

Place the new blade in right side up into the bracket and line up the bolt.

Using the 5/8 ratchet, turn the bolt clockwise until the bolt does not turn anymore.

Flip the mower right-side up and reconnect the spark plug.
