Oh no! Did you tug too hard on the fan wire? No problem! Here is an easy fix to get your fan back in operation. You just need a few common tools. The fan used in the guide is the Thermaltake Riing 12 LED 120mm Radiator Cooling Fan with a 3-in connector; however, this guide is applicable on most fans.

Use a tweezer to push in on the crimp connector that is located in the fan header. Take out the connector

If difficulty occurs, try pushing on the connector through the notch of the fan header.

Using a wire stripper, strip a wire jacket to expose some wires.

There should be around 1/4 of an inch of wire exposed.

Insert the wire into the crimp connector.

Ensure that the jacket is tightly seated in the connector.

Ensure that the exposed wire is touching the connector.

Using pliers, crimp down on the connector and the wire.

Insert the crimp connector back into the fan header.

Ensure that the connector is pushed all the way in.

Tug on the fan header to test the connection.

Voila! Your fan is good to go.
