Open the pie maker.

Remove four 4 mm screws holding the crescent-shaped black plastic plate in place with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the black crescent-shaped plastic plate.

Repeat the previous step to remove the upper black crescent-shaped plastic plate from the upper half of the unit.

Remove the four 4 mm screws located directly on either side of the hinges with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the final two 4 mm screws from the circular black plastic bottom base plate with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the black plastic base.

Disconnect the two red and green incandescent lights from their fixtures by popping them out of their red plastic cradles.

Examine successfully disassembled Sunbeam Mini Pie Maker FPSBPMM980.

If desired, remove insulatory coated paper cut outs to more easily access heating coils.

Examine electronics schematic.

The Sunbeam Pie Maker utilizes four heating coils to bring miniature pies to an internal temperature of 175+ F. The pies are placed in the appliance after pre-heating, and are cooked for approximately 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
