If your phone's earphone jack is not working properly, follow these steps to assist you in replacing the headphone jack.

Set the phone screen down on a clean flat, surface.

Insert the plastic opening tool into the groove located between the body of the phone, and the back plate protecting the battery.

Open the back of the device by prying around the sides of the back panel using the plastic opening tool.

Insert the plastic opening tool in between the battery and the phone body.

Pry up on the side of battery, and remove it.

Insert the plastic opening tool in between the white plastic cover, and the body of the phone.

Pop the plastic cover off. To do this, gently push forward on the plastic opening tool while it is in between the cover and the phone.

Remove the six size 0 Phillips screws.

Insert the plastic opening tool in between the body of the phone and the thin plastic back cover.

Lift the black back cover off of the body with the plastic tool.

Locate the earphone jack on the top left of the black plastic back cover.

Use the tweezers to pinch the earphone jack and remove it from the back cover.
