To remove the speaker grill, insert the big spudger underneath it in each corner.
-
-
-
With the Sony logo facing towards you, use the medium spudger to lift the side plates from the internal frame.
-
-
-
Locate the four screws on the now exposed front panel.
In my speakers it was T8 size
Mine was T9, looks like it migh vary
-
-
-
Next, remove the four outer edge screws, located on each corner of the speaker. The outer edge of the speaker is a clear plastic.
-
Remove each of the four corner screws (15.0 mm long).
-
-
-
With a little force, carefully lift the lid of the speaker.
-
-
-
Unclip the four wire connectors (that are attached to the speaker lid).
-
Disconnect the thin yellow wire (attached to the speaker lid) from its port.

You have to remove de NFC circuit before the next step, or you wil broke the connection .
This would have been perfect to know BEFORE I ripped it...
I didn't see this comment... F*CK!!! -

Locate and remove the three black screws (10.0 mm) within the internal frame. Use bit T7.

Slightly lift the white box with all the wires still attached.
Before taking out the white plastic, remove the circuit pin on top, by the buttons, otherwise you will brake the conectios as I did!

Take the big spudger and pry the black casing up from the circuit box.

Detach the yellow, black and red wires by pulling them directly up.

Insert the spudger along the battery edge and firmly hold the wires. Lift both sides up. The battery will pop out from its encasement.

Hello. Would you upload a detailed photo of the motherboard and the built-in amplifier? I’d like to know if I could find the right IC which I want to change. Thank you! and great guide!
Can you help with what kind of battery I need? I would like to purchase it before I take everything apart. Thank you.
Here you can see the answer. https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-SRS-X...
I really like the sound of this BT device. That´s why I own one of these. I just want to know how to convert this rechargeable speaker into AC power supply device because I don´t want to buy a battery replacement when the original one runs out. I don´t know how to calculate the volts and amperes needed to supply this speaker.
Which adhesive should be bought to put it all back together? Are there parts which can break or go in unoriginal form and should be romoved or fixed back together carefully? Also the link for the battery on amazon which is posted cant supply right now: is there any alternatives?
Thank you for making this guide and helping out :D

Beware NFC chip on the top panel (under the ADD button). It should stay blued on the top shell when you separate you. Be gentle with the top shell while doing step 2.
If the chip stayed on the speaker, you beed a way to gently separate it. Without separating it, you simply break NFC connection.
This is good information however, without a source where to obtain a replacement new battery for Sony's SRS-XB43 it is moot
Thank you .🙏
