Orient your camera so that you are looking at the posterior portion.
Place each of your thumbs on the interior portions of the eyepiece cup.

Using equal pressure, firmly push the eyepiece cup upwards and away from the viewfinder.
Be careful not to come into contact with the viewfinder lens as the lens can be easily scratched.
