Use your hand to loosen the old shower head from the pipe. This should be fairly easy, as most shower heads have a textured grip on the joint.

Once the shower head is loosened, remove it and set it aside.

Remove the old plumbing tape from the threads of the pipe, and throw it away.

-
Grab your roll of plumbing tape and wrap the tape approximately twice around the threads of the pipe.

Begin installing the new shower head by threading it onto the pipe.

Use your hands to tighten the new shower head back onto the pipe, using a wrench if needed.

Turn on the water and enjoy your new shower head!
