    • Flip the camera over so that the bottom of the camera is up.

    • Push the battery switch towards the back of the camera.

    • Locate the blue switch above the battery pack.

    • Slide the blue switch into the camera in the direction of the arrow on the switch. When the switch has been pushed in the battery will spring up.

    • Pull the battery out.

    • If you are looking at the front of the camera with the lens facing you, look at the right side of the camera, press the flash button to pop up the flash head.

    • Once the flash head is up, unscrew the two black 4mm Phillips head screws located on either side of the flash bulb.

    • Once the screws have been removed, push the flash head back down.

    • After closing the flash head, pull the black flash head cover up and off of the flash head.

    • Once the flash cover has been removed, unscrew the two silver 3mm Phillips head screws located on the top of the flash head.

    • Do not touch the metal leads on either side of the flash, and avoid touching any metal. The capacitor may be charged and it will shock you.

    • Once the screws have been removed, pull the flash bulb out from the camera.

    • Then remove the flash from the camera by soldering the flash bulb off, using a soldering iron.
