Note on this guide: In some versions, the back of the SM-T713 is not entirely clip-on. There IS a PEM molded into the back next to the camera (look for the circle with a star around in the back cover in the picture for the location) that is fastened by a screw from the LCD side.

To remove the back without first removing the LCD to allow removing the screw, you have to break the plastic that holds the PEM. This does not significantly degrade the hold of the back once you reinstall it, and doesn't usually show from the outside.

Just be aware that after you free the clips around the perimeter of the back, it may still be held by something next to the camera and you'll need to lift it up until the plastic breaks around the PEM. I shoved a plastic pry tool in there and used that to avoid putting too much flex into the circuit board near the screw. The plastic around the PEM is quite thin and breaks easily. (About the same force as required to free the perimeter clips!)
