How do you then fix the imei to match the back of the phone and to work with the plan it was on when broken; having to register/activate a new device for a motherboard repair is bull$][!+, and doesn't take care of the problem for the customer.

Hello, The connector from the battery to the motherboard has been damaged. Due to water getting in there’s been corrosion on the connectors which has eaten away on 2 of the capacitors there down to the silicon. Is there anyway to fix this? Perhaps any way to add material back or make some kind of jumper? I doubt I can get a replacement motherboard, but if you know if this can be done that would be great.

..does this correct a problem with the SIM card holder or is that a separate board in the phone?
