First, disconnect the battery.
-
Note: Always take the negative terminal off first, then the positive terminal.
-
General Tip: After disconnecting the battery, let the car sit for about 10 minutes. This will allow any residual energy left in the system to settle and it is good practice for any job you are completing.

-
Locate the throttle body on the right side of the engine. This will be between the intake tube and the intake manifold.

-
-
Within the throttle body, locate the throttle linkage cable assembly.

-
Twist the throttle linkage cable assembly clockwise (to the right).

Find the slackened cables and slide both off of the assembly's guide.

-
Locate the wiring clip on the underside of the throttle body.
-
-
-
Before gently removing the wiring clip, press down on the locking mechanism.
-
-
-
Locate the throttle linkage arm. With a flat head screwdriver, open the locking clip and pry off the linkage arm.
-
-
-
Locate the three (3) 13mm nuts attaching the throttle body to the intake manifold. Remove those with a 13mm crescent wrench.
