It should be noted the display is both the screen and casing behind the screen. If the casing is damaged, this replacement will also ensure a new screen.     • Be sure to power off the device before beginning.

    • Use a Torx T5 screwdriver to remove the ten 3 mm screws along the edge of the back panel.

    • Remove one 3mm Phillips #00 screw from the metal plate.

    • Repeat the previous three steps on the opposing side.

    • Gently open the device with your hands and separate the display from the keyboard.

    • The device will make a popping or cracking sound when the two pieces separate. This is normal.
