The motor brushes of the Porter-Cable PC60TAG provide a conducting path to the motor, and they may eventually wear down as the device begins to age. Use this guide to replace the brushes of your Porter-Cable PC60TAG.

Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the 3/4" screw on the back cover.

Holding the front of the device, carefully slide the back cover over the cord.

Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the 1/2" screw holding on the motor brush arm.

Carefully pull the motor brush arm away from the other device.

Using the spudger, carefully lift the spring on the motor brush arm off of the motor brush and gently pull it to the side of the motor bush arm.

Using the spudger, gently push the motor brush out of the arm.

Using a pair of needle nose pliers, gently pull the motor brush terminal off of the motor brush arm.

Repeat steps 3-7 on the other side of the device.
