This is a replacement guide for the fan in a Philips Respironics V60 ventilator. The cooling fan within the ventilator prevents the system from heating up too much. So it is important to ensure that this fan is kept clean and functioning.
For more information on replacing the fan, please refer to page 9-6 in the service manual.

Press and release the ON/Shutdown key, opening the Shutdown window in the screen.

Select Ventilator Shutdown, which will shut down the ventilator.

Disconnect the ventilator from the AC power.

Disconnect the internal battery from the power harness connector.

Turn the captive D-ring fastener on the bottom of the panel counter-clockwise one-quarter turn and release.

Then remove the right side panel.

Remove the 4 screws using a screwdriver.

Remove the top cover.
-

Remove the fan mount push pins that attach the fan to the back panel.

Disconnect fan cable from motor controller.

Remove fan filter assembly (the fan filter and housing), from outside the back panel.
