Remove the battery by pressing the yellow tabs on both sides, then pull the battery out.

Remove the nine 1/2 inch Phillips head screws.

Use a T-25 hex bit to remove four 1'1/2 hex head screws.

Lift the trigger switch to remove the direction switch.

Unscrew the red wire from the motor (Phillips head screw 1/4 inch).

Pick up the motor and remove the black wire (Phillips head screw 1/4 inch).
