Are the buttons on your Pebble Steel not responding anymore? This could result from the inner sensors being worn down. Replacing the inner Zebra ribbon may fix this problem.

The plastic frame is clipped inside the steel body with four clips, two each on the left and the right side of the watch, near the corners. You can stick a small screwdriver into the cutouts right above the clips and gently lever the plastic frame up, corner by corner.
-
Once the clips are released, use a pair of tweezers to grab onto the black plastic frame and remove the internal hardware.
-
Use tweezers or a plastic opening tool to disconnect the ribbon cable from the motherboard.

Where do I get a new zebra ribbon? I can't fond any on the intetnrt?
I also can't find the zebra cable. Any information on this?
Generally I'm a big fan of iFixit and the tear down guides but this one is seriously lacking. Firstly, there is no indication of where to get replacement parts. I understand that Pebble do not have a solution to supply repair parts to the market meaning that a tear down is a pointless exercise as the item is junk if it's broken. There also aren't any third party suppliers that I can see. The next problem with this one is that during disassembly the button ribbon cable was torn and it seems no mention was made that it is now unusable. More photos are required and a big warning that the cable will tear easily when pulling it away from the adhesive.
Otherwise keep up the good work ifixit
This tutorial isn’t so good. It’s missing parts and where the !&&* you got a new zebra cable?
If the buttons are not working. The only way to fix the issue is to solder a small wire on the zebra ribbon. I did it and the buttons are working fine again.
