Press and hold the lid unlock button to disengage the locking mechanism.

While holding the button, lift the lid straight up to remove it from the bowl.

Flip the lid over to expose the underside.

Around the inside edge of the lid, identify the silicone seal sitting inside a circular groove.

Use your fingers to gently lift the edge of the silicone seal from the groove.

Slowly peel the seal out, working your way around the entire perimeter.
