This guide will outline how to remove a dead battery, as well as how to properly install a new one.

At the top of the camera, turn the Mode dial to OFF.

Lay the top of the camera down on a flat surface so that the informational tag and battery compartment are accessible.

To open the battery compartment, push the latch underneath the word BATTERY to the left.

Lift the battery compartment cover and remove the old battery.

Insert the new battery as shown on the underside of the compartment lid.

Flip the battery compartment lid closed and push the latch to the right.

Flip the camera so that the bottom rests on the table.

Turn the Mode dial to [A] to verify that the control panel shows a full power indicator.
