Using a Phillips #000 screwdriver, remove the three bottom screws connected to the back plate on the bottom of the device.

Remove the screws under the flaps covering the HDMI and mini USB ports.

Lift up the screen, and use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the (6) six screws holding down the underlying metal plate.

Pull back the black switch holding the orange screen ribbon in place, and remove the screen.

Hey, I’m having trouble removing the back plate on step 2. It seems to be stuck on the side opposite the HDMI and USB ports, any tips for removing it? Thanks!

I am about to replace the lcd screen on my J4 - is the method the same as for the J3? And do I need any adhesive?

Achtung bei der Anleitung fehlt das entfernen von 2 Schrauben. Dann kann man die Plastikplatte ohne biegen und brechen abnehmen und zwar unter der Klebeplatte auf der Seite nach der man aufklappt. (ist festgeklebt)

Tuto misses 2 screws hidden behind a small plastic cover on the button side of the camera.
Once these 2 screws are removed, the entire bezel removes easily.
