Remove the black plastic LCD and backlight frame from the top of the circuit board by pushing and releasing the small black plastic pins that protrude through the circuit board. The picture is not in good focus, it shows copper tabs at the top of circuit board and the LCD and polymer strip in the black plastic frame in the background

Remove the pinkish conductive polymer strip from the black plastic LCD frame.
-
-
-
Wipe both edges of the polymer strip with an alcohol wipe. Then wipe the corresponding section of small copper conductors at the top of the circuit board that make contact with the polymer strip.
-
-
-
Replace the polymer strip into the LCD frame making sure it firmly contacts the LCD screen. Then clip the LCD frame back in place on the circuit board by pushing the 4 black plastic pins through the square holes in the circuit board. Make sure the polymer strip makes solid contact with the circuit board.
