If your device is not cutting at normal levels, first check that all nuts and screws are secured correctly. The cut-off wheel is an important component to the Milwaukee device, regular checks for damage will ensure the parts efficiency. Additionally, inspect for debris or chips along all components of the cut-off wheel.

Position the cut-off wheel so that is facing upward.

Remove the top flange nut by turning it counterclockwise.

Pull the flange upward from the spindle to remove it.

Press down on the detent tab to release the guard lock.

Remove guard from detent tab.

Remove the 3 mm Phillips #1 screw that secures the detent tab.

Push down on top of detent tab, then remove detent tab by pulling upwards.

Remove the spring between the two top corner screws.
