  1. Microsoft Kinect Tilt Motor Replacement, Tilt Motor: crwdns2935265:01crwdnd2935265:01crwdnd2935265:01crwdne2935265:0
    • Pull the rubber backing off the base of the Kinect.

    • If the adhesive attaching the rubber backing and the base doesn't come off with the rubber backing, remove the adhesive as well.

    • If the adhesive comes off separately, you may some type of adhesive to reattach the rubber backing.

    • Unscrew the four 7mm T6 Torx screws.

    • Pull off the base to reveal the inner case.

  3.     • Unscrew the four 5mm #0 Phillip screws.

    • These screws strip easily.

    • Remove the metal plate to reveal the motor and gears.

    • Disconnect the connector to separate the plate from the Kinect.

    • Remove the three gears on top of the motor, starting with the center gear.

    • Unscrew the four 5mm #00 Phillip screws.

    • Remove the motor from the plate to replace.

So far the isn’t a mention replacement of the plastic “post” that the tilt motor and the upper sensor unit are joined at. Mine broke (that’s what happens when you get a “free Xbox 360” at a neighborhood moving sale.) I couldn’t get the base plate apart as my T5 torx bit is trashed. So, my solution?…epoxy the heck out of the post as it’s only purpose is to hold the two units of the Kinect together. So far it worked!
