Your power cord needs replacing when there is physical damage to the cord.
Depending on the location of the damage, and how long you want your power cord to be, you can just cut off the damaged section and use the remaining cord.

Unscrew the 5 screws in the handle.

Unscrew the 2 screws holding on the side cover.

And remove the side cover.

With a screwdriver, pry open the handle a bit.

Work your way toward the front of the machine until there is a gap the enire way.

Lay the machine on its side, and open the gap behind the cable to the back until the top part of the handle can be removed.

Unscrew the clamp bracket.

Unscrew the blue and brown wires from the switch.

You can now remove the power cord from the machine.

Remove 13 cm of outer insulation from the new power cord.

Strip the ends of both wires.

Don't forget to add the grommet to the new power cord.

Insert the new wires into the switch and tighten the screws holding the wires in.

Insert the switch ensuring you push against the controle knob compression spring.

Insert the grommet into position and push the cables into the bottom part of the handle.

Screw the clamp bracket back on.

Click the top part of the handle back on and make sure not to pinch a cable. Attach the handle with the screws.

Finally, put the side cover back on, and fasten it with the screws.
