Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove two screws securing the handle cover.

Swing the bottom of the handle cover away from the hammer, then pull the cover down, toward the power cord, to remove it.

Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the screw securing the power cord bracket.

Lift the bottom edge of the bracket away from the hammer slightly, then pull down to remove it.

Use a 2.5 mm flathead screwdriver to loosen the two set screws holding in the power cord wires.

Slide the power cord guard off of the power cord.

Use 10 gauge wire strippers to strip about 1/8 inch of insulation off of each wire of the new power cord.
