Turn the device upside down and then locate the battery latch near the front of the device.

Gently pull up on the beige ribbon lock until it moves a short distance on both sides to separate the ribbon cable from the connector.

Locate and identify the two screws that attach the hard drive to the computer.

Once the screws are removed, lift up the end of the hard drive using your finger tips.

Fully lift the hard drive vertically against the side of the computer.

Push a finger down onto the plastic strap.

Remove the hard drive from the computer by pushing down on the plastic strap and pulling up on the hard drive.

Hi iFixIt thanks for all the details BUT the keyboard can indeed stay in
when changing the hard drive. Just slide it a bit to the right after step
11, the ribbon cble does not take any damage. SO: from step 12 jump
straight to step 20. The heat sink can stay untouched, which i find not
unimportant to mention. Regards, TB75
