Turn the device over, so that the base is on top.

Compress the tab by pushing towards the center of the device with a spudger.

While compressing the tab, peel the base away from the rotating head.

If the metal brackets come off of the sphere, put them back on the plastic piece as shown in the photo.

Unscrew the burnt-out light bulb with a counter-clockwise twist.

In case there is any confusion, all you have to do is push in that tab on one side and lift. No twisting necessary. Also, the other side will come off.
