Display not working and needs replacing? Want to upgrade to a higher quality display? This guide will show you how to remove your T440p display to achieve just that.
Removing the display isn’t that difficult and doesn’t take too long. You’ll just need a plastic opening tool, a Phillips #0 screwdriver, and just 10 minutes of your time.

Flip the laptop over so that the bottom of the laptop is facing you.

Slide each of the battery latches away from each other into the unlocked location.

Slide the battery out of the battery compartment.

Flip the laptop over so that the top of the laptop faces you.

Lift the lid of the laptop until the top of the lid is touching the ground.

Carefully pry the display bezels away from the display using the plastic opening tool.

Use the Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the four 3mm display screws.

Carefully lift the display up and place it on the keyboard.

Locate the latch attached to the display cable.

Grab the latch and flip it over so that it is facing away from you.

Gently remove the cable from the display by pulling it directly away from you.

Remove the display from the computer.

What display did you have before? I have heard that there are two different display cables and if you didn't already have a 900p screen/already had a 768p screen, then you will need a new display cable to do the FHD display swap.
