This guide explains how to replace the screen in a Lenovo ThinkPad T430s. The ThinkPad T430s screen has a native resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. It also has a matte finish and a LED backlight.
Physically damaging your ThinkPad causes injury to the screen. You should replace your screen if you notice cracks, black spots, distortion, or discoloration.

Flip your ThinkPad on its back.

In the bottom left corner of your ThinkPad, slide the lever to the left. Hold the lever there.

Use your other hand to lift the battery up by prying the notch to the left of the lever.

Tilt the battery up and remove it from the ThinkPad.

Rotate your ThinkPad so the back side faces you.

With the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the two 70 mm screws in the right and left corners. These may be covered by plastic covers.

Open the ThinkPad so the screen faces up. Lift the screen from its hinges.

With the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the two 50 mm screws securing the plastic display case.

Wedge the flat end of the spudger in between the display case and the screen. Unsnap the top case from the bottom piece holding the screen.

Remove the case and set it aside.

Unscrew the four 30 mm screws holding the screen to the case.

Lift the screen out of the case.

Flip the screen over.

Peel away the tape holding the cable down with the flat end of the spudger.

Pull the cable out of its socket.

so... I have one of these t430s tinkpads, the screen had gotten damage so I replaced the screen with a brand new compatible lcd. Problem is that even after replacing the lcd, the screen will not turn on. Just stays dark. External monitor connected to the vga port has image without issues. It is only the internal screen that won't even light up. What could be the issue seeing as the lcd panel is new and confirmed compatible?
