The following guide explains how to replace the headphone jack.

Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry the back cover away from the phone by inserting it into the seam around the edges.

Once the cover is off, remove the battery and SIM card.

Using a Phillips #000 screwdriver, remove the twelve 3mm screws around the frame, including those near the SIM and SD card slots.

Carefully remove the bottom plastic plate located around the charging port area.

Insert a plastic opening tool along the seam of the phone’s frame and gently apply pressure to lift off the midframe cover.

Flip the phone over so the screen is facing up.

Carefully lift and remove the glass screen (display) from the front of the device.

Flip over to the back of the device

Using the plastic spudger, lift off the three board-to-board connectors on the left-hand side of the device.

Using a plastic spudger, lift off the wire connector at the right bottom of the board.

Detach the mount including both the SIM card and the motherboard from the device.

Lift off the connector using the plastic spudger.
-
-
-
Lift the speaker connector using the plastic spudger.

-
Flip over to the back of the device. Lift off the connector on the left using the plastic spudger.

Lift off the headphone jack connector on the top right using the plastic spudger.

Replace the board containing the headphone jack.
