Are the speaker sponge on your headset ripped or missing? If so, here is the guide to remove the sponge pad so that you will be able to attach new ones. All you need for this replacement is a 00 size cross screwdriver, a plastic and metal spudger, your new speaker sponge, super glue, and possibly some scissors. This replacement is easy to complete with no apparent hazards.

Remove the ear cushion from the earphone.

Remove four 11.2 mm screws from the earpiece using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Use a spudger to pry the top plate away from the motherboard.

Use the metal spudger tool to scrape off the old foam pad and any remaining glue.

Line the edge of the headphone plate where the original pad was with superglue.

Press the new sponge into the glue and allow it to dry fully.
