The keyboard is a piece of hardware that allows you to type and enter commands to your computer. A key may need to be replaced when a key breaks or if a key is no longer working properly. In some cases, your keyboard key may not work when pressed. This guide only requires a 1mm flat head screwdriver. Be careful when removing keys as some could be a choking hazard. Use your 1mm flathead to pop the key off. Make sure the flathead is all the way under the key so you can get good leverage.

Clean out any dirt that is under the key.

To reassemble your device, press the key back into place.
