This guide will show you how to replace the charging port on the JBL Tune 720BT headphones. Please note that this does require soldering.

    • Pry off the back of the right ear cup using a Jimmy.

    • A slight amount of force will be needed to leverage the back off of its clips.

    • Remove the screws holding down the board.

    • Use the Jimmy to pry off the back cover of the left ear cup, revealing the battery.

    • Disconnect the battery by gently removing the red, white, and black wires from their socket.

    • Back on the right side, gently flip the board to reveal the charging port.

    • Be careful to ensure you do not over extend the wires.

    • Set the board onto a comfortable position for the next step

    • Use a soldering iron to heat and remove the old port.

    • Solder the new charging port to the soldering points on the board. When you are done soldering, make sure to clean any leftover solder.
