Remove the lid by twisting it counter-clockwise.

Remove the white rubber cover from the red float valve by pulling it off gently.

On my model, the metal housing broke off, looks like it will need to be welded back together to the lid.

How do you remove the house that the pin goes into? Mine has corrosion on the pin and inside that housing.
