Turning the tuning peg counter clockwise to loosen the string.

Pull the string from the bottom of the bass from the guitar's bridge.

Pull the string through the guitar's bridge and upward though the headstock of the guitar.

Wrap the new string around the corresponding tuning peg.

Tighten the string by turning the tuning peg.

Repeat steps 2 through 5 until you have changed all four strings.
