    • Not securing the lift arm could result in injury!

    • Locate the car battery and use the ratchet to loosen the negative (-) cable.

    • Next, use the ratchet to loosen and remove (+) the positive cable.

    • Loosen the bolt that secures the battery in place.

    • You can use either a 12 mm wrench, or in the example we used a ratchet extension with a 12mm socket

    • Gently remove the car battery.

    • Insert the new car battery.

    • Do not place the new battery on the ground. Place it on a piece of cardboard or plywood, but not dirt or asphalt.

If the bolt that secures the battery is rusted to the nut on the underside of the battery tray, the bolt will spin freely without loosening. This has the potential to be time consuming, because it is difficult to access the nut on the underside of the battery tray.

I found out that the ductwork for the fresh air is held on by three plastic screws that come off then pop out the plastic retainers and lift the air duct out of the way and reverse to install
