Regularly cleaning the gears removes dirt and grime that would otherwise keep the gears from moving easily. Be sure to do this indoors in a clean environment to avoid additional dirt build up.

Remove the two 7mm screws using a J0 screwdriver.

Remove the six 4.3 mm screws using a J0 screwdriver.

After the screws are removed, the bottom cover should easily pry off.

Using a J0 screwdriver, remove the 4mm screw holding the metal plate to expose the gears.

Using a pair of tweezers, gently remove the metal plate covering the gears.

Use tweezers to rotate gears or remove any large particles obstructing their rotation.
