Have you ever thrown out nail polish because it has dried out? Many people don't know that dry nail polish can actually be saved. In a couple simple steps you can reuse dry nail polish without the need of buying new bottles.

Find a clean workplace where you can easily clean up spills.

You can use a few drops of 91% isopropyl alcohol or ethyl acetate as solvents for thinning nail polish.

Open the bottle of dry nail polish setting the brush to the side.

Open the bottle of nail polish thinner.

Squirt 2 drops of nail polish thinner into the dry nail polish.

Screw the top back onto the dry nail polish and roll the bottle between your hands to mix. Shaking the bottle can put air bubbles in the nail polish and ruin a manicure.

If the nail polish is still dry or thick repeat steps 2-3 until the nail polish is finally thinned.

The nail polish should reach its regular consistency after applying the nail thinner. You may then be able to apply your nail polish onto your nails.

If the nail polish is just thick, you can run hot water over the bottle for a few minutes to thin it down some. You don't want to shake a bottle of nail polish to mix it, it can put air bubbles in the mixture, instead roll the bottle between your hands. Nice first guide, GL here.
