This is an easy step-by-step guide on how to repair a hole in a duvet insert. Remove the duvet cover from the insert and locate the hole.

Cut a piece of scrap fabric slightly larger than the hole.

Insert the fabric inside the hole, making sure the fabric covers the entirety of the opening.

Carefully pin the patch in place, ensuring the entire opening is covered and secure.

Insert thread in the needle hole and tie a slip knot at the end of the thread.

Insert the needle in one of the corners of your patch, being sure to pierce through both the duvet insert and patch.

Continue stitching around the perimeter of the patch with stitches around 1/4 of an inch long until you have reached your previous starting point.

Sew around the hole's edges to secure the duvet insert into the patch to prevent future tearing.
