-
Create a solution of 2 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol.
-
Using a paper towel, lightly brush the record with this solution.
-
-
-
Apply enough wood glue to cover the record's surface.
-
-
-
Place the record on a record player, then turn on the record player so it rotates.
-
With a note card, apply the wood glue so that it covers the entire record surface.
-
-
-
-
Place a strip of tape on the wet wood glue.
-
-
-
Turn the record player off after you apply the wood glue.
-
Let the record sit for 12 hours to dry.
-
-
-
After 12 hours, check to see the wood glue has dried.
-
If it has dried, use the tape as a “handle” to peel the glue off.
-
If the wood glue is not yet dry, check back once every hour until it has dried.
-
-
-
Repeat steps 1-6 on the opposite side of the LP if necessary.
