Hold one plier in each hand and grip the desired ring on the end of the waist chain.

At the same time, move one plier towards you and one plier away from you in order to open up the ring.

Link the end of the broken chain segment to the open ring.

Use the pliers to grip the open ring.

Move the pliers in the opposite direction from which you opened it.

Inspect the waist chain again and look for other areas that need to be repaired.

Repeat the same process for any other areas of breakage.

Once the whole waist chain is reconnected, check to make sure that there are no gaps in the chain links.
