Make sure to turn the dishwasher off to avoid accidents.

The float switch is at the bottom of the dishwasher tub and attached to a small float which rises in response to changes in the water level.

Remove the float switch assembly by disconnecting the wires connected to the float switch. If there is a lock, release it to remove the assembly

Clean the float and switch by using a brush and water.

If any mineral deposits are present, soak the float in a vinegar and water solution for two hours and rinse with clean water.

Put the float switch assembly back together and test the float switch.
