Learn how to quickly and easily increase the waistband size of any pair of jeans! This repair involves adding elastic to make the waistband bigger. The elastic used in this guide is about an inch wide, so your skin might show through the area where denim was removed near the waistband. You may wish to use a wider piece of elastic to cover the opening, but keep in mind that wider elastic will likely have less give.
This repair requires a sewing needle and scissors, which are sharp, and should be handled with care.
