If your Sorrento Grey Reclining Loveseat (model 59928-028-1X) has a seat that is not secured properly, use this guide to replace the seat’s sliding mechanism to resolve the issue of the failing seat.
The sliding mechanism holds the seat in place, so that it can move when a person reclines or rock the seat. A faulty sliding mechanism will cause the seat to slip and malfunctioning will occur.
Before using this guide, inspect the loveseat for any loose components where the seat and its base connects. Typically, the sliding mechanism from the seat should be fixed to the wood of the seat. Be sure the seat base is properly secured and no components have become unattached.
Step 1 and Step 9 requires that the loveseat be turned over. If you do not feel comfortable with this step, then seek help before beginning.
Before beginning, make sure to unplug the power chord coming from the loveseat and store it in its storage unit. Locate the storage unit on back side of loveseat after unzipping the zipper.
