After using a bath faucet for a long period of time, the handle can become loose and when you want to close the water it doesn't close properly. This can lead to leaks until you deal with the issue.
This guide instructs you how to fix the loose handle and will help you avoid unnecessary leaks and wasting water. In addition, you may be able to avoid purchasing a new faucet.

Turn off the central water valve. It is typically located outside.

Use a spudger or your fingers to remove the rubber plug, near the center of the faucet handle.

Use a screwdriver to remove the screw inside the handle.

Use a screwdriver to tighten the screw at the top of the internals of the handle.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. I believe this guide is needed because at our house we were forced to change the whole faucet. However, after some research, we found out this problem was only a 10-minute fix. This problem can cause more unnecessary trash because many times people will end up buying new facets.
