Using the metal butter knife or metal spudger, break up the entire pan of powder into fine pieces.
-
-
-
Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol into the cap.
-
Slowly add the rubbing alcohol from the cap to the powder and mix it with the knife as you go.

-
The powder will become creamy with no chunks or bumps. Use the side of the knife to smooth over the top surface.
-
-
-
To completely smooth over the top surface, use a clean finger to push out the edges and even out the surface.
-
-
-
Wait a few hours to let dry before closing the lid. The rubbing alcohol will evaporate, leaving you with a pressed solid ready for re-use.
-
These steps can be used to fix any type of powder makeup (ie. eyeshadows, blush, etc.)

It's also good to mash the surface down with something flat like a coin on top of a paper towel, while it's still a little malleable. This way, you get an even, similar texture as when it was new.
Great guide!
